Strong Foundations

Strong Foundations, which takes place over two three-day modules, adapts the key elements of The Philanthropy Workshop (TPW), our leading international donor education programme, to the needs of the people who work for engaged, active philanthropists.

The course, for a group of up to twelve individuals, is an intensive one, involving seminars, role plays, site visits and group discussions.

At the end of Strong Foundations, participants will have :

  • A conceptual framework for devising and honing a philanthropic strategy
  • The tools they need to engage their boards of trustees and help them to achieve their goals
  • The skills to perform advanced due diligence on potential grantees, to make effective grants, and to evaluate their impact

Cohort Two's dates are: Module One 1st - 4th September 2009 and Module Two early 2010.

The cost of both Modules is £4,000, discounted to £3,000 for the staff of foundations or grant-making trusts that are registered charities.
