Director, Next Generation Philanthropy: Sarah Teacher

Sarah Teacher joined the Institute for Philanthropy in February 2007 and is Director for Next Generation Philanthropy. The first of its kind in Europe, Next Generation Philanthropy is a training programme in strategic philanthropy for young people aged 18-30 who are moving towards an increased engagement in their personal, family or business philanthropy. Whilst at the Institute for Philanthropy Sarah has also written three research papers into the role of philanthropy; in climate change; in microfinance; and a survey of European philanthropy with a particular focus on funding in Turkey, Germany, Italy, Russia and the UK. Sarah also leads on programming for The Philanthropy Workshop London activities. She graduated from Lady Margaret Hall College, Oxford, in 2005 with a first-class degree in Modern History.
