Programmes Associate: Aphra Sklair

 

Aphra Sklair joined the Institute in September 2009 and is Programmes Associate for Next Generation Philanthropy and The Philanthropy Workshop, responsible for activities in London and the developing world. Before this she worked as an intern and research consultant at the Institute, contributing to publications on funding strategically around climate change; core support; and funding in an economic downturn. Aphra is an alumna of Cohort 2 of the Institute's Next Generation Philanthropy programme, and graduated from Queens' College, Cambridge in 2007 with a degree in Spanish and French. She is on the steering committee of YTFN, a youth offshoot of The Funding Network that organises events to give young people the opportunity to support social change projects, and does Spanish translation for various NGOs.
