Institute for Philanthropy: Key Facts
Working with Philanthropists
Over the last 10 years we have built a global network of engaged donors.
We have worked closely with over 200 wealthy families and individuals from Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
We lead the world's premier donor education programme in strategic philanthropy, The Philanthropy Workshop.
Creating the Next Generation of Socially-Engaged Citizens
We have pioneered Europe's first donor education programme for the next generation: Next Generation Philanthropy, which is also run in the US.
Through the Toskan Casale Foundation's Youth and Philanthropy Initiative, we have reached nearly 115 UK schools, educating over 20,000 pupils each year, and have granted over £600,000 to UK charities alone.
Partnership with Leading Organisations
We have worked with leading financial institutions including Barclays Wealth, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, and JP Morgan Chase.
We have worked with leading charitable foundations such as The Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, the Oak Foundation, the Omidyar Network, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts.
We have worked with 30 of the UK's 57 Community Foundations as well as others from Central and Eastern Europe.
Advocacy and Thought Leadership
We have successfully advocated for the UK Government to provide tax breaks on gift of shares.
Through our ‘Think Philanthropy' forum we have brought together some of the world's leading experts in philanthropy and the issues it tackles, including Paul Collier (Professor of Economics Oxford University), Professor David Swensen (CIO Yale University), and Dr Sigrid Rausing (Director Sigrid Rausing Trust).
