Next Generation Philanthropy
Supporting the next generation of strategic philanthropists
Stepping Up to Philanthropic Leadership
Directed in partnership with the Institute for Family Business, Next Generation Philanthropy guides the younger generation of wealthy families as they engage in their personal, business or family philanthropy.
Working in a confidential environment with a select group of their peers, participants explore the breadth and depth of the not-for-profit sector, acquiring the skills, knowledge and networks to engage with philanthropy in the most strategic way.
Through a series of inspiring and challenging case studies, site visits and audiences with leading civil society thinkers, we support Next Generation Philanthropists as they transform their vision for creating change in the world into a reality.
After completion of the Next Generation Philanthropy programme, participants join an emerging association of alumni of the programme, who come together for continued learning and collaboration.
Participants' Profile
Next Generation Philanthropy participants are aged between 18-30 and interested in becoming more active and engaged in the issues they care about. They don't just want to write cheques, they want to become part of the newest movement in philanthropy: they want to make risk-taking grants that leverage greater change than the size of their donation, and want to provide not-for-profits with support that not only improves lives but inspires systematic change.
