Before taking the position of Director for Press at the Institute for Philanthropy in March 2006 Musa was a solicitor at the firm of Shadbolt & Co LLP, having qualified at Lovells, an international law firm. Prior to that he studied Law at St. John’s College, Oxford, and when he is not working for the Institute he pursues a career in writing. In this field he has won national awards for poetry, fiction and non-fiction, including the 1996 WH Smith Young Writers Competition for short stories. He is also a poet, and performs as a featured artist in a range of venues throughout London.
